Almond Rocca
ARI#: 1193329
Birth Date: 9/18/2004
ARI Color: Beige
Sire: Senor Bolivar, ARI# 168499
Dam: 5P Rocca. ARI# 800464

Almond is the color of candlelight with 17.0 micron fleece that seems to disappear in your hand.  She has the signature Bolivar brilliance from her father and her mother’s lovely face and square, upright conformation.  It’s so nice when an offspring exhibits a combination of the best qualities of the parents. Almond will be a tremendous producer for us with all that she has to contribute to the genetic package of her offspring.  Her curent breeding to Tillman's Rocky Red (pictured above) should result in something very exciting.

Bred To: Tillman's Rocky Red,              ARI# 816000

Due Date: October 2008

Aztec Gold

ARI#: 851709
Birth Date: 9/27/2003
ARI Color: Medium Fawn
Sire: Aysen’s Lakota, ARI# 804900
Dam: Aysen2 Pilchera, ARI# 807262

Aztec adds another dimension to our colored suri program with a true black dam and a light silver gray sire.  She stands on her own merits with superb conformation and fleece qualities, which earned her a blue ribbon in every show she entered, including 2004 MAPACA.  Her fawn fleece hides a secret silver gray spot on her neck which tells us the potential for gray offspring is high.

Bred To: Bet on Black, ARI# 30011684

Proven producer of high quality colored suri offspring, her only male cria, Jamaya River, is a cornerstone stud now breeding at our farm.  With female offspring in every color from beige to black who are all foundation females at other suri farms, Joy has value beyond words.

Queen of Starrs
ARI#: 30707948
Birth Date: 9/23/2006
ARI Color: Medium Brown
Sire: Aspen Ace, ARI# 832721
Dam: Kona Coffee, ARI# 1015546
To solidify our black suri herd we looked for a high quality colored female with strong color behind her as well as a pedigree of show winners. We were elated to find Queen. Her pedigree is loaded with everything we were looking for as well as proven genetics like Captain Morgan and Aurora's Borealis. Queen's maternal line originates with a true black Chilean import and her sire, Aspen Ace, is a second generation true blue-black full Peruvian. She looked so good on paper we had to go see her in person and we weren't disappointed. From her Captain Morgan signature furry ears down to her solid straight construction she was everything we thought a suri should be. As far as luster - words cannot express.

Since Queen was already in Oregon it made sense to send her to Pucara Kahuna for her first breeding. We are dying to find out what kind of color she can pull out of him with that "herdsire of the year" quality to go with it. After that she will be mated with our black studs. Hopefully Queen and Kahuna will produce a dark daughter that will help take our colored program to a new level.

Bred To: Pucara Kahuna
Due Date: August 2009

Marietta de Peru
ARI#: 141797
Birth Date: 1/10/1994
ARI Color: White
Sire: Unknown Peruvian
Dam: Peruvian Maranta, ARI# 117972

Marietta is our rock solid girl with a big, strong frame and tremendous fiber density.  At 13 years old she still exhibits luster and locking to the skin.  We jumped at the chance to own her, even at her age, knowing that her dam also produced true black Maximillion, one of the top studs at Ameripaca.  The first cria Marietta had for us in 2007 was a testimony to her production capabilities.  This white male, Mario Crucero,  competed strongly at the shows in white classes comprised of mainly full accoyos and drew praise and admiration from judges and other breeders. He is good enough to remain in our breeding program for the future.

Bred To:  Peruvian Shakespeare
Due Date: September 2008

Rocca is our import and even though she hates us, we love her!  She is gorgeous and youthful even at 12 years of age.  She brings extreme fineness of fiber to our breeding program, as well as unlimited color potential, with strong conformation that she passes on to her offspring.  Her 2005 male, Ric Roc, will be a herdsire at Brandilyn Farm in Michigan, and female offspring have all been strong producers for the breeding programs they are part of.  Her 2007 grey cria is exactly what we hoped for when we bred Rocca to Seattle Mist.  We strive for production females that produce good production offspring.  Rocca almost always reproduces the color of the stud she is bred to, and even though she is an import, always produces high quality suri offspring.

Bred To: Bet on Black, ARI# 30011684
Due Date: November 2008

Sashemi
ARI#: 1323573
Birth Date: 7/5/2004
ARI Color: Medium Brown
Sire: Phillippe, ARI# 814785
Dam: Sasha, ARI# 811695

Sashemi is the darling of the farm.  Sweet and demure without a care in the world.  We love her genetics – she is the grandaugher of accoyo Sedoso, a carefully used beige and white full accoyo male with limited offspring, and her sire is a jet black male out of two dark maroon parents.  Sashemi displays the depth of color from her sire’s side with the accoyo fiber characteristics of her dam’s lineage.  She has produced top of the line cria in the rich dark color we planned on from her.

Bred To: Bet on Black, ARI# 30011684
Due Date: May 2009

Saphana
ARI#: 1398199
Birth Date: 6/9/2005
ARI Color: Beige
Sire: Peruvian Shakespeare, ARI# 828933
Dam: SLT Peruvian Yunta, ARI# 802715

Saphana is perfect in every way.  Conformation is exquisite with grace and presence.  Fiber is soft and fine with high luster and consistent lock.  Her grandpa is Peruvian Silver King and she has just a touch of gray pigment around her eyes and in her mouth.  Her breeding to Condor son, Santa Cruz was a shot in the dark to see what the cross between those two grey lines would produce.  Little Santa Ana was the result and she's not grey but she sure is pretty!  Saphana will be bred to our Prince Greystone son and Condor grandson, Bet on Black, from now on and we know they will produce beautiful gray suri offspring.

Bred To: Bet on Black
Due Date: October 2008

Shakespeare's Masked Juliet

ARI#: 30670662
Birth Date: 10/27/2006
ARI Color: True Black
Sire: Peruvian Shakespeare, ARI # 828933
Dam: 5P Francesca, ARI # 800438

We are anxious to cross the Shakespeare daughters, who are also Silver King grandaughters, with our Prince Greystone son, Bet on Black. So it is that we are pretty pleased to have Juliet join us. Her dam has produced top quality crias with sons that are now herdsires in other breeding programs and daughters who have sold for top dollar in national auctions.  Juliet has high luster, nice lock and very good conformation. We are looking forward to her crias in years to come.
Juliet is now breeding to Bet on Black. You can bet on a black baby next year.

Olivia Pajolo

ARI#: 816352
Birth Date: 3/19/1999
ARI Color: True Black
Sire: Richnes Sir Toby, ARI # 137728

Dam: Sweet Peaches and Cream,     ARI # 164167

True black with true black and dark brown offspring to her credit. Pedigree includes rose grey, silver grey, true black, brown and fawn with a beige and a white and a couple of multis. Her breeding to Yong Kyoon could result in anything. We aren't even trying to guess. Olivia is big, square framed, strong and vigorous. She runs laps with the crias. We love her look and her demeaner. She is scheduled to be bred to Snowmass Intrepid in the fall after she delivers. We are looking forward to our new adventure with black huacaya alpacas.

Bred To: Ahjoomis Yong Kyoon

Due Date: October 2008

Tiarra

ARI#: 819813
Birth Date: 3/9/2000
ARI Color: Light Fawn
Sire: Pan Am's Torta, ARI # 805672

Dam: Sweet Peaches and Cream,     ARI # 164167

Tiarra is a new addition to our black huacaya program and she's fawn with only fawn and beige ancestors. With only two offspring to her credit so far it's hard to be sure that she will produce black for us but a brown offspring from a true black sire makes us hopeful for dark color. Tiarra carries the density and fineness in her fleece that we hope to produce with our blacks so she will be an important factor in this plan. Her current breeding to a high quality fawn male will hopefully give us a high quality fawn daughter who will be available for purchase as soon as she is weaned. If fawn huacayas will benefit your breeding program check back soon. We plan to breed Tiarra back to a strong black this fall so next year will tell us the rest of the story.

Richnes Peepers

ARI#: 142931
Birth Date: 12/13/1994
ARI Color: True Black
Sire: Fortune, ARI #

Dam: Lady Bo Peep, ARI #

photo coming soon

A true black female with two true black parents and three true black grandparents who has produced true black offspring 5 out of 6 times (and the one that wasn't true black was dark brown)is just what we needed to jumpstart a black huacaya program. Peepers is now bred to a fawn male but we still expect a black baby sometime soon. Her own fiber is exceptionally fine and offspring have carried that through so we are pretty excited about this addition to our herd. Watch for the announcement of her cria - it may be for sale if we can part with it.
